VinFast VF MPV 7 Brings Connected-Car Technology to Everyday Family Travel
VinFast VF MPV 7 combines remote vehicle monitoring, charging checks, FOTA updates, voice assistance and a 10.1-inch display to simplify connected family travel.
Owners can check the vehicle remotely through the VinFast smartphone app. The connected-car system allows them to monitor the vehicle’s location and status while receiving notifications related to vehicle operation, intrusion and software updates.
The feature can be useful when the car is parked in a large or busy location such as an apartment complex, airport parking lot or shopping centre. Instead of retracing the entire parking area, owners can use their phone to help locate the VF MPV 7.
The same connection can assist with preparing for the next journey. Owners can check the vehicle’s status before leaving and decide whether charging is required, particularly when a longer drive is planned. If charging is needed, it can be factored into the journey before the battery gets low, helping avoid an unplanned stop during the day.
The VF MPV 7 also features on-board diagnostics and Firmware-Over-the-Air (FOTA) technology, enabling seamless software updates remotely without the need for a trip to the service centre.
The digital connection remains useful even when the vehicle is parked. Through FOTA, the vehicle can receive software updates remotely, reducing the need to turn software-related tasks into a service-centre visit.
Once inside the vehicle, drivers can use the VF MPV 7’s virtual assistant, which puts vehicle control within their voice while helping them keep their attention on the road.
The cabin features a 10.1-inch infotainment display that provides the driver and passengers with a central interface for accessing the car’s infotainment functions. Wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also available, allowing smartphone users to stay connected.
The VF MPV 7 also takes a different approach to the placement of its gear selector. Instead of positioning it between the seats, the vehicle integrates the gear selector into the steering column. This leaves the centre area more open and gives the front cabin a cleaner layout.
These features are designed to support everyday family use, connecting the experience before the journey begins with the technology available once passengers are on board. The smartphone app provides access to vehicle information, the connected-car system keeps owners informed, and the in-cabin technology supports drivers and passengers during the journey.
For a seven-seat MPV, these connected and in-cabin features form part of the VF MPV 7’s approach to making everyday family travel more convenient, from preparing to leave to getting on the road.
